Hi, I’m Kim! I’m an illustrator and surface pattern designer specialised in flora and fauna illustrations. I’m based in The Netherlands. After studying Journalism for two years, I decided to take a different path and graduated in Photography at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, in 2013. I worked as a nature photographer for some time, but missed drawing and designing so much, that I switched to illustrating full-time.
From a very young age, I had great interest in my natural surroundings. Always exploring, learning about trees, plants and animals, I spent most of my days outside. As an adult, this curiosity resulted in a great passion and concern for our living planet. My main hope is to inspire a sense of wonder about and love for the natural world through my creative work.
